Centrifuges
Overview
Centrifuges make use of centrifugal force to exploit the difference in sediment densities between constituent particles. They are manufactured as benchtop or floor-standing models. Centrifuges are used in many fields, such as chemistry, physics, pharmacy, biology, biotechnology and, not least, medicine. They are needed in industrial production, in research facilities for scientific applications, and in medical laboratories for research or to derive blood constituents.

Microlitre Centrifuges
HETTICH MIKRO 220 R
Microlitre centrifuges are mainly used in molecular biology, microbiology and genetic research, where high speeds are necessary to separate small-volume mixtures.
The Hettich MIKRO 220 R is one of the fastest centrifuges in its class. It also refrigerates quickly: to +4°C with the Fast Cool function in 10 to 15 minutes. Even thermosensitive samples can be gently centrifuged thanks to highly reliable refrigeration.
Best separation results are guaranteed with the smooth-running, high-performance motor featuring a maintenance-free frequency drive. With autoclavable and aerosol-tight accessories, even infectious materials can be processed safely for both the user and the environment.

Small Centrifuges
HETTICH Rotofix 32
Small centrifuges are lightweight, compact devices which can be transported easily and which require little space. They help save energy when processing low sample quantities and are the solution of choice for medical practices and surgeries. Although their capacity is limited, they can deliver high performance if required.
Manually-operated hand centrifuges, which enable revolutions of up to 3,000 min-1 thanks to their transmission ratio, offer the key benefit of being independent from a power supply system.
The Hettich ROTOFIX 32 A is a rugged, versatile and indispensable benchtop centrifuge for routine laboratory tasks in doctors’ practices and small hospitals. ROTOFIX 32 A is ideally equipped for tasks in clinical chemistry, and it can also play a vital role in cytology. With its wide variety of accessories, the ROTOFIX 32 A can also be used for the preparation of samples in industrial and research laboratories.
Tubes that are suitable for chrome bath testing are also available.
