Biological Shakers
New Brunswick Scientific provides more than 40 models of bioslogical shakers. Their top-of-the-range Innova Lab Shakers feature the NBS triple-eccentric drive for uniform motion and give superb reliability under the most adverse conditions.
New Brunswick's Excella Shakers are designed for lighter workloads, with a more limited range of options. While these microprocessor-controlled shakers may not offer all the advanced features or specifications of the Innova models, they are affordably priced and offer an excellent alternative when budget constraints are an issue.
Innova Shakers
Stackable Incubator Shakers: Innova® 44 & 44R
Space-saving Innova 44 Series Shakers can be stacked up to three units high, providing three times the culture capacity in about the same space normally occupied by a single shaker. A programmable controller provides unmatched convenience and reproducible results by letting you create programs to automate changes to operating parameters. Innova 44 provides incubation, while Innova Model 44R adds refrigeration.
Benchtop Incubator Shakers: Innova® 40 & 40R
Precise control, automated operation and high temperature capability! Innova 40 Series Benchtop Incubator Shakers have it all. These versatile machines provide “set it and forget it” programming, automatically changing operating conditions on your pre-programmed command. Innova 40R models come with added refrigeration factory installed; or add a refrigeration module in the field, at any time!
Large-Capacity Incubator Shakers: Innova® 43 & 43R
Innova 43 Series Shakers are sleek, dependable, and offer the convenience of automated programming capability for "set it and forget it" operation. With built-in high-temperature capability, and options for refrigeration, photosynthetic lighting, gassing, and UV decontamination, these shakers can handle virtually any culturing task.
Space-Saving Multi-Shaker Environmental Chamber
Innova 4900 This environmentally-controlled chamber is designed to culture dozens, and even hundreds, of samples on up to four independently controlled shakers. Heavy-duty shakers are ordered separately to accommodate your specific needs.
The system includes programmable regulation of heat, refrigeration and humidification as standard. Photosynthetic operation is optional.
High-Temperature Water Bath Shakers: Innova® 3100
Superior temperature control and uniformity is assured using the Innova Model 3100. This water bath shaker is ideal for culturing a wide range of cell types at temperatures up to 100°C, as well as for staining, destaining and hybridization protocols.
Space-Saving, Multi-Tier Open Air Shakers
This industrial workhorse is designed to uniformly shake hundreds of samples, day-in and day-out, under the extreme conditions of an environmental room. Designed for minimum stress or vibration, even when fully loaded and running at the maximum speed of 350 rpm.
Excella Shakers
New Brunswick Scientific’s new Excella shakers are designed
with enhanced features and performance, at an affordable price.
All eight temperature controlled and open-air Excella Shakers feature a superior heavy-duty UniCentric™ drive and cool running motor for long life and quiet operation under heavier loads and at higher speeds.
Simplifying set-up and monitoring are state-of-the-art microprocessor controls. A wide variety of interchangeable platforms, flask clamps and test tube racks are offered, or can be interchanged with accessories from most existing NBS shakers of similar size.
Excella Benchtop E24 & E24R - Console E25 & E25R
Excella temperature-controlled shakers are available with choice of incubation only or incubation with added refrigeration. Benchtop E24 and E24R with
added refrigeration accommodate test tubes or flasks up to 2.8 litres in a tightly-sealed growth chamber, featuring a clear acrylic lid for excellent visibility of all samples.
For larger-capacity needs, console-styled E25 and E25R models accept flasks up to 6 litres and accommodates as many as (12) 2 Litre flasks.
Temperature Range:
E24 & E25: 7°C above ambient to 60°C.
E24R & E25R: 15°C below ambient to 60°C.
Minimum setpoint 4°C. Agitation: 50 - 400 rpm, + 2 rpm.
Orbit:
E24/E24R are offered with 3/4” (1.9 cm) diameter orbit; E25/E25R with 1" (2.54 cm) orbit.
Benchtop Open-Air Excella Shakers: E1, E2, E5 & E10
When built-in temperature control is not needed, NBS Excella Open-Air Shakers are the solution. Ruggedly-built for use on the bench, in an incubator, or in a warm 
or cold-room, these shakers are available in three sizes. All but the E1 are microprocessorcontrolled with digital display.
Agitation:
50-400 rpm, + 2 rpm.
Orbit:
E1, E2 & E5: 3/4” (1.9 cm) diameter circular orbit
E10: 1” (2.54 cm) diameter circular orbit.
Speed can be Calibrated via keypad.
Accessory Platforms are interchangeable with those from other same-sized NBS shakers.
